Acomys cahirinus
The thorny mouse or Egyptian mouse ( Acomys cahirinus ) saw slightly under a ic climate Désert. It is in Africa, Asia and in the south of the Europe. It is very sociable and lives in group. Even if these hairs are not true spine S, they irritate all the same the throat of predatory which avoid thereafter eating some. Its popularity in captivity increases being given qualities of this one compared to the Hamster S (which cannot live together in the same cage) and to the Souris (which reproduce with a frantic rate). Among the followers of these mice in captivity, several claim that its intelligence is by far higher than the other mice or hamsters. It is active mainly the night, early the morning and late in afternoon.
Reproduction
Its reproduction differs from the other mice, because the ranges never exceed the 5 kids. The average of the ranges is from 2 to 3 kids.
Food
It nourishes Graine S and of Herbe S mainly, but can integrate into its menu some Insecte S in order to fill its requirement in Protéine S.
