Achilles Valencian , born the August 9th 1794 with Paris and dead the April 13rd 1865, is a zoologist French specialist in the Poisson S.

He studies under the direction of Georges Cuvier (1769-1832). The studies of Valencians on the Ver S parasitizing the human beings are a big step of the history of the Parasitologie. He studies also various systems of classification and establishes bonds between the fossils and the current Espèce S.

He works with Cuvier on twenty-two volumes of the Natural history of the fish (1828-1848) and only continues this work after the death of Vat in 1832.

He becomes member of the Academy of Science in 1844. After this date, he becomes assistant with the national Muséum of natural history where he teaches the Zoologie.
