Achilles Etna Michallon

Achilles-Etna Michallon (1796-1822), was the son of the sculptor Claude Michallon (1751-1799). It was one of holding of the historical Paysage years 1780-1830, and in 1817, the first prize winner of the Prix of historical Rome of landscape instituted in 1816 at the instigation of Pierre-Henri of Valencians, of which he was the pupil. He also studied under Jacques-Louis David. Corot was its pupil like Antoine Guindrand. He died precociously in 26 years. The duchess of Berry and the Count Lespine were her more enthusiastic admirors. The succession of the Princess of Croy and the Count Lespine is a source D information on works of this artist.
