Achilles Devéria

Achilles Devéria , French painter, raises Girodet-Trioson, born with Paris the February 6th 1800, dead the December 23rd 1857, was exerted in the various kinds. In 1830, Devéria is a recognized illustrator and published many lithographies (for example illustrations of the Faust of Goethe). It also drew of erotic engravings.

In 1849, it was named director of the department of engravings of the National library and assisting curator of the Egyptian department of the Louvre.

It spent its last years to travel in Egypt, drawing and transcribing inscriptions.
