Achilles Ernest Oscar Joseph Delesse , born with Metz the February 3rd 1817 and died in Paris the March 24th 1881, is a geologist and mineralogist French.

Polytechnicien, it is titular pulpit of mineralogy and geology of the university of Besancon. He becomes inspector of the careers of the department of the the Seine and teaches with the Sorbonne, the National university and the School of the mines. He is elected member of the Academy of Science in 1879.
