Ach Chamaliyah

Ach-Chamaliya (“North”) is one of the 26 provinces of the Sudan. It has a surface of 348  765 km² and a population of approximately 600  000 inhabitants (2000).

Dunqula is the capital and one of the more big cities of Sudan. Ach-Chamaliya is especially covered by the the Sahara. A small portion of the landscape is a fertile country, on banks of the the Nile. The population speaks especially the Arab . There is a rail link of Ouadi Halfa with Khartoum.
