Acetyl
The group acetyl is the grouping Acyle of the acetic Acid . Its chemical formula is C O C H 3, sometimes written ac (not to be confused with the chemical element Actinium). A molecule containing the acetyl group with the following chemical structure:
(Where R indicates the remainder of the molecule).
The radical acetyl contains a Groupe methyl bound by a simple connection to a Carbonyle. The radical acetyl belongs to many organic compounds, among which the Coenzyme has, the Neurotransmetteur Acétylcholine, and the analgesics such as the Paracétamol and the acetylsalicylic acid (better known under the name of Aspirine).
