Acer triflorum

Acer triflorum is a species of maple of the section Trifoliata of the Classification of the maples. It is originating in Mandchourie and was introduced in Europe in 1923.

Description

It is a Arbre with sheets Caduque S which can reach 10 to 15 m in height, and a trunk which can reach 50 cm in diameter.

Its bark brown gray, rough and squameuse, peels in a remarkable way.

The Feuilles have 3 Foliole S from 3 to 8 cm; pale tops, glaucous lower parts; each leaflet has 1 or 2 large teeth; crimson in autumn; young sheets bronzes; Petiole of 5 cm.

Small Fleur S hairy yellows with Pédoncule S hangs in groups of 3, at the same time as the sheets; .

The Fruit is a Samare of 3 cm; almost parallel wings; hairy fruits.

Use

Visible not very current species mainly in Arboretum.
