As Time Goes By is a song written by Hermann Hupfeld for the spectacle Everybody' S welcome played in 1931 on Broadway. Frances Williams interpreted the song then but this one was taken again the same year, inter alia by Rudy Vallee.

The film Casablanca gave the song to the last style in 1942: The song is used as topic of film. It is then Dooley Wilson which sang it but it never left there individual because of a strike of the musicians at the time of the exit of film. It is thus a republication of Rudy Vallee in 1931 which was sold with the place.

The song remained famous until today thanks to the success of film, recognized as one of best than the cinema ever produced. Burial of Ingrid Bergman, the actress high-speed motorboat of film, a violin played the melody.
