Accretion prism
A prism of accretion is a sedimentary prism which is in a pit on the level of a zone of Subduction. The plunging Tectonic plate oceanic (subduite) made accumulate the Sediment S sailors and compresses them against the plate susjacente (overlapping). It is formed a prism of sediment only if the Angle of the subduction (the plan of Wadati/Benioff) is weak. The sediments are compressed until forming scales which are rectified coming to form a pad characteristic of the subduction, and which can sometimes emerge by places. The island of Barbados in is an example to notoir.
