Accident of WORN Oriskany

The Porte-avions WORN Oriskany (CV-34) of the United States Navy was victim, the October 26th 1966 of a serious accident during the Guerre of Vietnam.

A lure with the Magnésium took fire suddenly and started a major Incendie on board.

Forty-four men of which twenty-five pilot S perished and the ship had to regain the the United States to undergo major repairs there.
