In the United States in 2001, deaths by fire accounted for 1,34 died for: 100000 inhabitants, of which 80 % in residence.

Certain countries, like the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands and the United States, made compulsory the fire detector installation of at the private individuals, which made it possible to reduce approximately 50 % the number of deaths.
Forecast: to extinguish a fire of fryer, a gas fire, extinguisher, evacuation of the residence, alert early with the firemen.

The prevention against food poisonings concerns the action of the State primarily, by setting up a service of day before Vétérinaire to supervise the agro-alimentary chain since the breeding and the culture until conditioning in store or the preparation while restoring, equipped with a capacity of inspection and repression; also by setting up an obligation of traceability (identification of the batches of foodstuffs to be able to withdraw them in the event of discovered from a problem).
On behalf of the professionals, it is advisable to adopt measures of strict hygiene as well as a monitoring of the risks.
For the private individuals, it is necessary to observe the conditions of storage of food (expiry date, temperature of the refrigerator, not recongeler a defrosted food, to throw inflated preserves) and of elementary hygiene (to wash the hands before preparing a meal and eating, to clean the kitchen utensils and the crockery, to de-ice and disinfect the refrigerator regularly, to put waste in a dustbin which will be emptied by the municipal services).
