The accessibility indicates the possible character of the freedom of displacement in space, of use of tools, and comprehension. Not to confuse with the Ergonomics and the Utilisabilité. One of the principal aspects of accessibility is specific to the Handicap S, but of other aspects exist.

Transport

In the field of transport accessibility returns towards two distinct definitions.

• the Accessibilité in transport defines the possibility for all of reaching the transport systems which returns partly to the question of the Personnes to Reduced mobility.
• accessibility is also a notion of the Géographie and economy which gives an account of the more or less great facility with which one can reach a place by using the means of transport. The economic definition of accessibility stresses the possibility of an interaction between economic agents in the places which one seeks to reach (work, purchase, etc). Starting from this concept it is possible to build measurements of accessibility to evaluate the space and territorial performance grid systems.
• Concerning the Accessibility of the roadway system and public spaces in France, the law of February 11th, 2005 and its decrees on enforcement of a law of December 21st, 2006 defines the whole of the regulation framework.

Chapter III of title IV of law 2005-102 of February 11th, 2005 for the chance and equal rights, the participation and the citizenship of the handicapped people is entitled: tally frame, transport and new technologies. Article 41 known as that them “(…) establishments receiving of the public (…) must be such as these buildings and installations are accessible to all, and in particular to the handicapped people, whatever the type of handicap (…) ”. Accessibility becomes finally today a right for all because it is about a levelling principle, base even of our constitution and republican currency.
