Academy of the drawing of Florence
The academy of the drawing of Florence or Accademia dell' Arte del Disegno of Florence is the first artistic academy appeared in Europe.
It was created on January 31st, 1563, under the patronage of Cosme I {{er}}, by Giorgio Vasari on the foundations of the first organization of the painters of Florence organized by the Compagnia di San Luca , the Arte of the apothecaries, the doctors and the hardware stores (for the secrecies of their manufacture), installed at its beginnings in 1339 in the walls of the cloister of the Giardino San Marco .
