Academy of music and dramatic art of Quebec
The conservatory of music and dramatic art of Quebec is a Réseau several schools which teach the Musique and the Dramatic art on a level higher than the Quebec.
It was created in 1942 on the initiative of the type-setter Wilfrid Pelletier, who had made a request with the Prime Minister Maurice Duplessis. Lise Bacon renewed the mission of the academy in 1992.
Several Québécois musicians studied or taught with the academy, among them Edgar Davignon, François Dompierre, Czeslaw Kaczynski and Oscar Peterson. Its current managing director is Nicolas Desjardins.
