Academy of Science the humanities and arts of Lyon

The Academy of Science the humanities and arts of Lyon was created at the beginning of the year 1700 by Claude Brossette, lawyer and alderman Lyons. Like all the other learned societies, the Academy will be dissolved in 1793 and will reappear in 1800. She will be recognized of public utility by royal decree in 1839, then by decree on July 27th 1867. The Academy of Science the humanities and arts of Lyon east member of the National conference of the Academies of Science letters and arts , which under the aegis of the Institute of France, gathers twenty-eight provincial academies.
