Academic classification of the world universities by the university Jiao Tong of Shanghai

This classification, commonly called the classification of Shangaï ( Academic Ranking off World Universities in English), is established by researchers of the Université Jiao Tong of Shanghai and includes/understands principal the world Université S. These institutions are classified according to many criteria like the number of publications in some scientific magazines and the number of Nobel Prize allotted to the pupils and to the pedagogical teams. The creators of the classification underline themselves some of its limits, in particular a skew in favor of the anglophone countries and the institutions of big size and the difficulties of defining adequate indicators to classify the universities specialized in social sciences.
