Abu Al-Juyuch Nasr
Abû Al-Juyûch Nasr Ben Mohammed was born on November 2nd 1287. He is the puiné son of Muhammad II Al-Faqîh and of a Christian concubine, he succeeds his elder Muhammad III Al-Makhlû on the throne of the emirs Nasrides of Grenade when this last is constrained with the escape by a popular revolt on March 14th 1309. He reigns until February 8th 1314 and dies on November 16th 1322.
Biography
The dynasty mérinide passes by one period disturbs interior and does not represent any more one imminent danger to Nasrides. But the situation of Nasrides is not very brilliant, the kingdom is him also weakened by interior disorders. The threat Castillane specifies also its policy will be to try to approach Mérinides.Gibraltar is taken by Ferdinand IV of Castille in 1310. During the reign of Abû Al-Juyûch Nasr, Nasrides will also lose Algésiras and Ronda.
February 8th, 1314, it is relieved by his cousin Abû Al-Walîd 'Ismâ `it grandson of Mohammed I {{er}} Al-Ahmar. Abû Al-Juyûch Nasr flees with Guadix where it will die in 1322.
