Absolute humidity

In genius of the processes

In Genius of the processes, the absolute humidity is defined for the Humid air (or others Gaz) like its content of Steam. One can express it various ways but most current is the Masse of steam in kg per kg of dry air (dry air corresponding to the air removed from all its water).

The value of absolute humidity thus lies between 0 and +∞.

In physics

In Physical Meteorology and , one on the other hand defines the absolute humidity like the report/ratio of the steam mass in kg on the volume of humid air in m3 in the pressure and the temperature considered. It with the dimension of a Density and often notes \ rho.

\ rho = \ frac {m_ {water}} {V_ {early}}

It is also equal to the product of the relative Humidité by the absolute Humidité of saturation.

\ rho = \ varphi \ cdot \ rho_ {sat}

The report/ratio of the steam mass on the mass of dry air, as for him, is called Rapport of mixture, or Water content, is noted X .

x = \ frac {m_ {water}} {m_ {dry air}}

The vapor mass being sometimes difficult to obtain, the water content can be expressed thus, thanks to the model of the Perfect gas S:

x = \ frac {p_ {water} \ cdot M_ {water}} {p_ {dry air} \ cdot M_ {dry air}} with p Pressure S and M masses molar.
