Abram Hewitt
Abram Stevens Hewitt (1822 - 1903) is a Professor, lawyer, Industriel and American politician .
He is member of the Congrès of the United States and mayor of New York between 1887 and 1888. He is the son-in-law of the industrialist and Philanthrope Peter Cooper, founder of the Cooper Union. He is one of the originators of the Manhattan Municipal Building, whose construction starts however only in 1909.
