Cyrrhus is an ancient city located close to current Nabi Houri, with 70 kilometers in the North-East of Alep. Starting from this city, the disciples of Saint Maron were propagated through the area. One of them, the Abraham monk (or Ibrahim) originating in Cyrrhus, worked between 410 and 420 for the conversion of the Phénicien S of Jebbet Bsharre and Jebbet Mnaytrah to the Christianisme. It would then have founded a community of hermits in the back-country of Byblos close to Afka where takes its source the Fleuve of Adonis (who will be later called Nahr Ibrahim in his memory). Later, it will be called “the apostle of Lebanon” lorsqu´il undertook the conversion of the mountain and the littoral Lebanon board with Christianity. ----
