Abraham Yehoshua

A.B.Yehoshua or Abraham “Boolie” Yehoshua is a novelist Israélien born in 1936 with Jerusalem (Israel).

Yehoshua belongs to the fifth generation of Jews Sépharade S installed in Israel. After academic works with the Hebraic University of Jerusalem, it starts a career of teacher. From 1963 to 1967, it resides at Paris. It joined the Université of Haïfa in 1972.

Yehoshua embraced a career of writer as of the end of his military service in Tsahal. He wrote many novels, and is regarded as one of the most brilliant contemporary authors in Israel.

A.B.Yehoshua also engaged in favor of the israélo-Palestinian Peace process, and took part in the Initiative of Geneva. It gained the Prix Bialik and the Prix Israel.
