Abréaction

In Psychoanalysis, one calls abréaction the reduction of the emotive tension when the affect and the entry of charge of the memory make at the same time irruption to the conscience. Gestures and words clarify the experiment which gave rise to this tension.
This phenomenon particularly occurs in the psychoanalytical cures at the time when, within the framework of the analytical transfer, the resistances against affects are raised which were not felt when they would have owed the being in the past.
To summarize, in fact the process of emotional discharges, by releasing the affect related to the memories of a traumatism hitherto driven back, cancels the pathogenic effects of them.
