Abou Ghraib
The town of Abou Ghraib (أبوغريب in Arab, litéralement father of the corbel ) in Iraq is located at 20 km in the west of Baghdad, just in the north of the International airport of Baghdad. It has between 750.000 and 1,5 million inhabitants. Old the Route for the Jordan passes by Abou Ghraib. The government of Iraq created the district of Abou Ghraib in 1944.
The city shelters the Prison of Abou Ghraib, which was the site of Torture S and execution of dissenting policies under Saddam Hussein and of tortures and ill-treatments by members of the Reserve army American in 2003 during the war in Iraq.
