Abemama

Abemama is a Atoll Kiribati, in the archipelago of the islands Gilbert (central part).

Its surface is of 16 km ² for a population of 3.608 Gilbertins. It is the place of proclamation, by the Davis captain of the Royalist of the British Protectorat of the May 27th 1892 on all the islands Gilbert. It was also a residence of Robert Louis Stevenson and cleans it of the Father Ernest Sabatier.
