Abel Botelho
Abel Acácio de Almeida Botelho (September 23rd 1855 - April 24th 1917), was born in the council from Tabuaço (currently in the north of the District of Viseu), in the area of the Douro.
He was diplomat and was distinguished as writer. Representing with the Portugal extreme realism, he wrote, amongst other things, the Barão de Lavos and the Livre of Alda, the two first of the series " Patologie Sociale".
Barão de Lavos was the first book written in Portuguese on the reality of the Pedophilie in Portugal. He died in Argentine, during the First World War.
