Jesus speaks about Abel like the first martyr, victim of the religious persecution of Caïn, his intolerant brother. Thus he says that Abel lived at the origin of the foundation of the world (Luc, chapter 11, verse 48-51). in the meaning of the Greek word Kosmos (world of the men). The blood of Abel was certainly versed at the time of its martyrdom, but it did not repurchase anybody, not besides than the blood of the sheep than it had offered in sacrifice. Actually, its blood shouted towards God so that he avenges it for Caïn, his assassin.
The blood of Jesus which according to the Epistle with the Hebrews, ratified new Alliance, speaks better than that about Abel in the sense that he shouts towards God so that he makes mercy with all the men of faith like Abel. Moreover it is thanks to the blood of Jesus that their redemption is possible.
The two brothers Caïn and Abel did each one an offering or sacrifice with God (Allah), but only that of Abel was accepted. By jealousy, Caïn then promised to kill his/her brother, but this one answered: “Allah accepts the offering only on behalf of the piles. If you extend towards me your hand to kill me, me, I will not extend towards you my hand to kill you: because I fear Allah, the Lord of the Universe. ”.
Caïn nevertheless killed Abel and a very deep feeling of remorse invades it, it became thus losing.
According to the religious traditions, Abel would be thus the assassinated first, the killed first and the first dead of the History. Its corpse would be the first corpse buried under ground of the History.
