Abdoul-Khalim Saïdoullaïev

Abdoul-Khalim Abou-Salamovitch Saïdoullaïev (ШейхАбдул-Халим), born in 1967 and dead the June 17th 2006 with Argoun (in the east of Grozny), is a political personality tchetchene.

During the second war of Chetchnia, he was the commander of the popular militia of Argoun. In 2006, the rebels tchetchenes, had indicated it to succeed Aslan Maskhadov at the position of president of the independence rebels tchetchenes. According to agency RIA Novosti, the operation which led to the execution of Saïdoullaïev was carried out by a special regiment of the ministry for the Interior of Chetchnia. The Prime Minister of Chetchnia, Ramzan Kadyrov, comments on this information as follows: “the so-called president of the Itchkérie, Abdoul Khalim Saidoullaev, was liquidated in Argoun” .

In 2000, Saïdoullaïev organized the removal of the American Kenneth Gluck (of Doctors without borders). Undoubtedly involved with the the Middle East, it belongs to those which made deviate the nationalist claims tchetchenes towards religious claims. Specialist in the Charia Saïdoullaïev was president of the Islamic court.
