Abderrahmane Sissako (also credited in scene Dramane Sissako ), born the October 13rd 1961 with Kiffa in Mauritania, is a Cinéaste Mauritania N. He is also producer.

The main theme of its work is the exile, displacement. It paints the Africa with autobiographical keys.

Biography

Little time after its birth, its family emigrates with Bamako with the Mali, the country of his/her father, where it follows part of his primary and secondary studies. After a short return in 1980 in Mauritania, country of his/her mother, it leaves in Soviet Union, with Moscow, where it studies the cinema with VGIK (federal Institute of State of the Cinema) of 1983 to 1989.

With the beginning of the year 1990, Abderrahmane Sissako settles in France. He is president of the jury of the festival Foregrounds of Angers in January 2007 and member of the jury of the feature films to the Cannes festival 2007.

He is today the African scenario writer best criticized and more preceded.
