Abdel Rahim Mrad
Abdel Rahim Mrad is a Politician Lebanon board.
Known for its prosyrian positions, it is named appointed Sunnite of Rachaya Bekaa Western in 1991 and is re-elected at the time of the legislative ones organized in 1992, 1996 and 2000. It is named Minister for the professional and technical Instruction within the government of Rafiq Hariri of 1995 with 1996, then Minister for Education always under Hariri between 2000 and 2003 and minister of state without wallet of 2003 with 2004. With the resignation of Hariri, it is promoted Minister for Defense in the government of Omar Karamé in October 2004, to reward it for its prosyrian positions.
Following the political crisis after the assassination of Rafiq Hariri and the Revolution of the cedar, the prosyrian parties try to impose it like Prime Minister in April 2005, but it loses these nominations against Najib Mikati, prosyrian more moderate which received the support of the opposition.
It fails the legislative elections of 2005 where it carries out an extremely weak score vis-a-vis the candidates of the Running of the Future.
