Abdel Kader Al-Husseini

Abdel Kader Al-Husseini (rear RTL عبدالقادرالحسيني hack) (1907 - 1948) was a nationalist and Palestinian combatant. During the Israeli-Arab War of 1948, it directed the Jihad Al-Muqadas until her death the April 9th 1948 at the time of the Nahshon operation. 'Abd-Al-Ra' uf Al-Qidwa Husseini, a more known remote relative under the name of Yasser Arafat would have fought at her sides and would have been its personal secretary.

Husseini was born with Jerusalem and it is originating in district Al-Husseiniya. It is the son of Moussa Qassem Al-Husseini which occupied the post of mayor of the town of Jerusalem starting from the First World War until 1920. It carries out its secondary studies with the college Rawdhit Al-ma' front then joined the American university of Beirut of which it was expelled because of its nationalist engagements and its refusal of Christian preachings. It becomes then titular of a diploma of Chimie to the American Université of Cairo where it organized the congress of the educated Moslems. With the American Université of Cairo it tried to hide its engagements to be able to be graduate.

After its studies, he works for the British , before taking the maquis towards Hebron to carry out Arab resistance after the Grande Arab revolt.

The British exile it in 1938, but he manages to escape to gain the Iraq and to take part in the Coup d'etat carried out by nationalist officers of the Gold Square. After the failure of the coup d'etat de Gaylani, it gains the Egypt in 1946.

It returns to Palestine to carry out the Armée with War-holy the in January 1948 and organizes the head office of Jerusalem. It finds death the April 8th 1948 at the time of a battle for the catch of the hill of Qastel where it succeeded in hoisting the Palestinian flag.

Husseini had married in 1935 and it had 4 children: 3 boys and a girl.
