Anecdote
- the 13th stage of the Tour de France 1950 was made terrible by a canicular heat, which made the course very difficult. Abdel-Kader Zaaf and Marcel Molinès, all 2 of the same team: NORTH AFRICA had attacked and taken (up to 16 minutes) to go sufficiently in advance until the victory which was to dispute with the sprint. Having managed to release Molinès , Abdel-Kader Zaaf , having assoiffé, took a can which presented to him a spectator on the edge of the road. Unfortunately for him, this can contained wine. The result was not made wait, it was the pole-axe for the runner which, after being itself refreshed, and slightly staggering, took again its bicycle and set out again in the opposite direction of the race. Marcel Molinès from now on only carried on its road and reached the finishing line with four minutes thirty before the group of prosecutors including/understanding Stan Ockers and Ferdi Kübler. Its reputation was made, like its popularity.
