Abd Al-Rahman Sanchuelo

Abd Al-Rahman Sanchuelo (983-1009), born and died in Cordoue, was the son of Almanzor and principal Minister for the caliph Hicham II.

Biography

Like his/her mother, Abda (born Urraca), was the girl of Sanche II of Navarre, he was called small Sanche, Sanchuelo .

After the death of his brother Abd Al-Malik, which one said that it had poisoned it, the caliph designated it as his heir.

Benefitting from its absence whereas it had left to fight the king Alphonse V of León, the omeyyade Muhammad II détrôna his/her cousin and seized the throne. On its return, Sanchuelo was made prisoner and carried out.
