Abbey of Place-Crescent

The abbey of Place-Crescent was an abbey Cistercien, in the Doubs with Geney.

It appeared in 1134 and destroyed with the French revolution in 1791.

During their transfer of the Holy Land, to Milan, then to Cologne, by the emperor Frederic Barberousse, the relics of the three Magi were entrusted to the monk; the nickname of the abbey became abbey of the Three Kings .
