Abbans-Top is a Commune Frenchwoman, located in the department of the Doubs and the area Franche-Comté.

Geography

Abban-Top , with a score of kilometers in the south of Besancon, not very distant from Quingey, is a village overhanging the valley of the Doubs.

Its Château, whose Architecture takes part several times (for the oldest parts), is especially known for its Donjon, where the Marquis Claude François Jouffroy d' Abbans (1751 - 1832) developed the first Steamer with Roue S with paddles.
