Ababacar Samb Makharam

Ababacar Samb Makharam (1934 - 1987) is a scenario writer Senegal board.

Biography

Born on October 21st, 1934 with Dakar, it enters to the Academy of dramatic art of Paris in 1955 and founds a theater company, Griots . He interprets also some small roles, then, in 1958, he goes to Italy, with the Centro sperimentale di cinematografia, the Roman university of cinema.

It goes back to Senegal in 1964 and works in the mediums of the radio and television.

While continuing its career of realizer, it is invested in the promotion and the defense of the African cinemas and will be the general secretary of Panafrican Fédération of the scenario writers (FEPACI) of 1972 with 1976.

He dies on October 7th, 1987.
