Aaron Spelling

Aaron Spelling , born the April 22nd 1923 with Dallas, the Texas, and died of an brain attack with Los Angeles (the United States) the June 23rd 2006 was a American producer of Films and Televised series.

He is the father of Tori Spelling of his true first name Victoria Davey (Donna Martin in Beverly Hills 90210) and of Randy Spelling (Sean Richards in Sunset Beach). His first wife was the actress Carolyn Jones. His second wife is called Candy.

Career

Attracted by journalism, Aaron Spelling integrates Souhern Methodist University. It will make also a short passage to the Sorbonne, in Paris. But the young man has a passion: the theater. After having written several parts, it leaves to Hollywood to try its chance as actor. It then obtains some roles in telefilms. In 1959, it produces its own series, Johnny Ringo. To create series in the air of time becomes a ritual then.

The Seventies will impose it as genious producer. Funny Starsky and Hutch, ladies or cruising has fun are successes, in the United States as in Europe. Dynasty, direct competitor of Dallas, and diffused as from 1981, is also a success. Forty million televiewers is envoûtés by this richissime family, with the tragic destiny. Since, the series Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Places and Charmed did nothing but confirm its talent.

It creates the televisual production company Spelling Television in 1981.

Spelling revealed many actors and especially actresses. Most famous are Heather Locklear, Joan Collins, Jessica Biel, Marcia Cross and Farrah Fawcett.
It started again the careers of Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen.
Aaron Spelling tied an accessory relation with the actress Heather Locklear, whom he discovered in 1982 in Dynastie . He then proposed to him roles in Hooker and Melrose Place . It called it " my lucky penny".
Another relation, more complex, that with Shannen Doherty. In spite of the clash in 1994 on the plate of Beverly Hills between the actress and the production, Spelling makes clean slate of last and in 1998 in Charmed engages it.
