Aaron North

Aaron Wright North , born the March 22nd 1979, is the guitarist of Nine Inch Nails, and ex-member of the punk group The Icarus Line.

Influences

It is the punk rock'n'roll which gives him desire for being invested in the music. Before discovering the punk rock'n'roll, the music seemed to him too much difficult and technical. He likes Guns Pink and Metallica, but does not see how he could play this kind of music, until he hears Black Flag and which he carries out that he can play that itself, which seems to him in all way more interesting than to make solos and to embarrass themselves with the technique.

Musical career

Aaron North starts to play of the guitar at 14 years. During its adolescence, he plays in small groups of Punk Hardcore, before integrating The Icarus Line in 1996.

The Icarus Line: 1996-2004

In 2002, North makes the headlines in the world of the music after a concert of Icarus Line to the Hard rock Coffee of Austin in Texas where it " libère" a Guitar having belonged to Stevie Ray Vaughan. It has breeze the window which protects it with its foot from microphone, takes it, tries to connect it with its amplifier, but the security service catches up with it quickly. Following this incident, North received many death threats on behalf of Texans made indignant.

Nine Inch Nails: since 2004

Buddyhead

Buddyhead is a musical webzine and an independent label creates by Travis Keller and Aaron North in 1998. The label Buddyhead Records was creates at the beginning to produce the group of North The Icarus Line, as well as posthumous albums of influential post-hardcore groups such as Ink & Dagger and the post-Refused Swedish Art-core project.

Guitars

It has weak for the use of guitars Hagstrom, one sees it with one of them in the clip The Hand That Feeds of Nine Inch Nails. North is famous for its not-conventional and chaotic approach of the guitar, its use and its control of the feedback, its spectacular way to play of the guitar on scene.
