Aalborg

Aalborg or Ålborg , city of the Denmark of 162.264 inhabitants (2002), located in the Jutland. The municipality after January 2007: inhabitants: 194.149; surface: 712,37 km ²

City taken by the Swedish in 1643 and 1658, but returned in 1660 by the Treated of Copenhagen.

Jomfru Ass Gade

The most famous street of Aalborg, famous in all Denmark as far as Norway, Sweden or Germany, is called Jomfru Ane Gade, or " Gaden" in shorter ( " The rue" ). The name of this street could be translated by " the street of the Virgin Anne ". The pubs and restaurants which made the reputation of this street propose according to the days and the hours of the very variable prices (of simple with the quadruple) and it competition is very hard between the various signs. It is preferable to go Thursday or Friday there and preferably before midnight to profit from the best prices.

Jomfru Ane Gade is a coffee street and restaurants the day and pubs, nightclubs and bar-boxes the night. All the sections of the population of Aalborg are found and gathered there according to their tastes. (Robin for oldest, Newcastle for the young rebels, Hr Nielsen or Manhattan for the treasurers…)
