a star was born (title original: has Star Is Born ) is a American Film of 1937, produced by David O. Selznick and carried out by William A. Wellman, which also collaborated in the scenario. Janet Gaynor plays the part of a apprentie actress which settles with Hollywood in the hope to become a high-speed motorboat.
The film was quoted seven times at the Academy Awards, and gained the reward in the category of the better scenario.
Two Remake S were carried out, the first in 1954, with Judy Garland, the second in 1976, with Barbra Streisand. More recently, Glitter , with Mariah Carey in its own role, borrowed many elements of the scenario.
