The tracks do not miss. Miss Marple will come to help the inspector, because the third assassination concerns an young woman who lived in the village of the old woman.

The title

The title of the novel, has off Pocket Full Rye or has Pocketful Rye off comes from a old Comptine English, Sing has song off sixpence , apparently well-known of Agatha Christie since it inspires not only the title to him of this novel, but still that of two police news: Furnace and Twenty Blackbirds and Sing has off Song Sixpence published in the USA in 1950 pennies the title Three Blind Mice , itself that of a famous counting rhyme. The original song refers to the Whiskey manufactured starting from rye and not to the Seigle itself which one finds in the pocket of the victim. As in Ten small negros , the author makes correspond the adventures of the intrigue to those of the counting rhyme.
