Summary

Two young people, Catherine Mareuil and Jean Bompart, are found died in a waste ground. The Plonche inspector gets information. The father of the young man, sculptor, of modest condition, reveals to him that they were to marry soon. Plonche continues its investigation and questions the parents of the young girl, of industrial rich person. The truth appears finally. Mareuil did everything to prevent their daughter from marrying this young man whom they judged without future. Young frightened people preferred to commit suicide rather than to be separate. Plonche says its contempt to Mareuil convened with the Quay of the Goldsmiths.
