AS-201

AS-201 is the name of one of the missions of the space program Apollo. AS-201 is an uninhabited flight, having shown many carryforwards of shooting because of engineering problems. the objectives of the mission were:

  • First flight of the rocket Saturn S-IB
  • Test of separation enters 1st and the 2nd stage
  • Test of the heatshield of the Apollo capsule (not satisfactory because of the loss of data of the sensors)

The following missions were reversed, the flight AS-203 having taken place on July 5th, 1966 and having been followed by the flight AS-202 on August 25th, 1966.
