ARP 2600
ARP 2600 is a semi-modular Synthétiseur Monophonique marketed between 1971 and 1981 by the american company ARP.
Portable version of the 2500, a powerful modular synthetizer of research, the 2600 is characterized by the possibility of router the various electronic modules thanks to Jack cords. The user can however make use of it without having to connect the elements.
3 versions followed one another during the 10 years of production. Many modifications were made. First of all, following a dispute with Moog, ARP had to modify its module of filtering. The filter of origin was regarded by the patent-office as a copy of the famous Moog filter. It is characterized by an at the same time round and powerful sound, with an audible resonance until in the top of the spectrum. The following versions have a less broad sound, with less presence in the low ones and especially a resonance which is erased in the high frequencies. The keyboard as for him was improved in the last versions, and became duophonic.
