AMSN
aMSN (Alvaro' S Messenger, or Another MSN messenger clone) is a customer of Instant messaging, clone free of Windows Live Messenger, using the protocol of Microsoft (MSNP).
Project developed to be used under Linux, aMSN is related to several others OS, in particular Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and FreeBSD. It is about a modified and multilingual version of Compu' S Messenger (CCMSN). It is coded in Tcl/Tk.
aMSN amongst other things makes it possible the user to be connected with the statute “Off line”, therefore invisible of the other users. This option, one of the most courted assets aMSN, was taken again by MSN Messenger starting from version 7. It in addition lays out many skins and plugins to approach MSN Messenger: The plugin " Nudge" (installed with aMSN) the management of Wizz brings.
From version 0.95, the use of the Webcam (without the sound) and the use of emoticon S personalized compatible with MSN Messenger 7 are possible.
