AIK IF

AIK IF ( Allmänna Idrottsklubben ) is a team of Hockey of the city Stockholm in Sweden. The team evolves/moves in Allsvenskan, the second Swedish level. It is about the section hockey of the general sports club AIK.

History

The club was created in 1891 and the hockey is played there since 1921. The AIK took part in the championship of the first division during 66 season, whose 25 since the creation of Elitserien in 1975 (1975-1986, 1987-1993, 1994-2002), and gained with seven recoveries the title of champion of Sweden, the last time in 1984.

In 2003, the team is relegated in Allsvenskan and fall even in Division 1 in 2005. She is promoted the following season at the second level.
