ADIMAD
The ADIMAD or friendly association for the defense of the interests moral and material of the former political prisoners and exiled of French Algeria is a French association which aims at defending memory of all the martyrs and all the victims of the enemies of the French Algeria .
The head office of the ADIMAD is with Hyères in the Var. Association is chaired by Jean-François Collin, former city council man National front of Hyères. The ADIMAD asserts 750 members and was founded on November 14th, 1967. made by the general de Gaulle.
The ADIMAD was made known by its will to set up in the cemetery of Marignane a stele with the memory of members of OAS, an terrorist organization having fought so that the Algérie remains French. The municipality of Marignane, held by the mayor Daniel Simonpieri initially gives his agreement for the erection of this stele whose inauguration must take place on July 6th, 2005. In front of strong criticisms (by the French League for the defense of the human rights and the citizen, of the FNACA which judges this erection scandalous , of Hamlaoui Mekachera, or the deputy Christian Frémont the Algerian political parties also criticized this initiative
In 2006, the ADIMAD obtains the authorization to light the flame of the unknown soldier under the Triumphal arch to Paris before the police headquarter do not prohibit them.
