AAA Vision

AAA Vision is a monoplane with low wing Cantilever and fixed traditional train largely calling upon the composite Materials. This two-seater apparatus coast beside sport was drawn by Steve Rahm, with an aim of proposing to the manufacturer amateur beginning an economic plane offering an elevated level from performances. The realization of the prototype, which flew in 1996, cost less than 6000,00 U$ (without the engine). Equip in the beginning with an engine Subaru with 100 ch, it received a at the end of 2002 Lycoming O-235 and a three-wheeled train.

Developments

A second apparatus followed in 1997 with an engine Lycoming O-320 of 160 ch and a modified aerofoil, said aerofoil EX (7,82 m of scale for 8,9 m ²), the wing of origin being indicated SP. The marketing of the plans was then launched by AAA, the bundles comprising several options:
  • the capacity of standard fuel is of 83 liters, but it is possible to increase it to 207 liters (151 in aerofoil and 56 in the fuselage). * element B

  • the cockpit has a standard width of 1 m on the level of the elbows, but it is possible to increase it to 1,12 m, just like it is possible to record the height of the cockpit of 7 cm… this in order to take account of the average gauge of the American pilots!

At the beginning of 2007 one found 4 Vision on civil register American N2VN, N129DC, N115FS, ten others being in construction, including a version SSP carried out by Paul Hastings.

Towards four-seater: Two other manufacturers American amateurs, Tony Arnaoutis and Scott VanderVeen, on their side put in building site of four-seater derived from the AAA Vision.
