A.J. Foyt

A.J. Foyt ( Anthony Joseph Foyt Jr. ) (born with Houston the January 16th 1935) is the one of largest American pilots of his generation.

Its prize list is prestigious. Four times winner of the Indy 500 in 1961,1964,1967 and 1977, it took part in 35 consecutive editions of this race and are the only pilot to have carried it in each of the two configurations of frame (driving before and back engine - twice each). A.J. Foyt counts 67 victories in Indy and 7 championships. It also gained the 24 Hours of Mans in 1967 at the wheel of a Ford GT40, the Daytona 500 in NASCAR in 1972 and the 12 hours of Sebring in 1985 over Porsche 962. It took its retirement as a pilot in 1993.

He is the owner of Stable A.J. Foyt Enterprises which makes run Dallara-Honda n°41 in IRL in 2006. It is controlled by Felipe Giaffone. With Indy 500 in 2006, A.J. Foyt engaged one second car, Dallara-Honda n°14 for Larry Foyt, his/her son a pilot of NASCAR. It also made swindle its adoptive grandson and wire A.J. Foyt IV, in particular in 2005 on Dallara-Honda n°41.

A.J. Foyt is also administrator of companies.
