Aşık Mahzuni Şerif

Mahzuni Şerif (sometimes spelled Mahsuni Şerif ), born in the village from Tarcalık (area of Afşin in Turkey) in 1939, died with Cologne (Germany) in 2002, was a Poète, Chanteur, Compositeur and player of Turkish Saz . The use joined with its name the term of Aşık , equivalent Turkish of the Troubadour. Since 1967, it produced some 400 discs and 50 cassettes and published nine books.

Its songs give a broad place to the social questions and politiques  ; one as of its albums names for example Katil Amerika (America assassinates).
